The Position

Do you know your way around automotive, mechanical, or industrial parts? Do you enjoy advising customers, finding solutions, and ensuring the right parts go to the right place?

Martin Trailers is looking for a Parts Clerk to support customers and the mechanical service team.

In this role, you will greet customers at the counter and by phone, help them identify the parts or accessories they need, and prepare the required parts for work done by our mechanics. You will also participate in ordering, receiving goods, and maintaining an organized inventory.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Greet and advise customers at the counter, by phone, or by email;
• Understand their needs and help them identify the right parts or accessories;
• Search for the necessary parts in catalogs and from suppliers;
• Prepare and provide the parts required by the mechanics;
• Generate quotes and track requests;
• Order parts from suppliers;
• Receive, inspect, and shelve goods;
• Maintain an organized inventory and make necessary adjustments;
• Track pending orders and inform customers of delivery times;
• Participate in the setup and organization of the parts department;
• Collaborate closely with the sales and mechanical service teams;
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized workspace.

The Desired Profile

• Experience as a parts clerk, parts advisor, stock clerk, or similar role;
• Knowledge of automotive, trailer, heavy vehicle, equipment, or mechanical products parts: a significant asset;
• Customer service experience;
• Ability to understand needs and find solutions;
• Comfortable with computer systems and part searches in catalogs;
• Sense of organization and attention to detail;
• Autonomy, resourcefulness, and good priority management;
• Ability to communicate and work in a team;
• Positive attitude and interest in learning;
• Ability to handle and move certain parts;
• Valid driver's license.
