As a Hydrogeology Technician (Quebec Region), you will play a key role in the implementation of fieldwork.

Responsibilities related to the position

• Monitoring of drilling and soil sampling work as part of water research projects;
• Describe the characteristics, properties, and composition of the soils;
• Supervision of the construction of test wells;
• Supervision of pumping tests;
• Conduct hydraulic conductivity tests;
• Sampling of groundwater;
• Record data and complete all field forms;
• Plan fieldwork with the project manager;
• Prepare equipment and materials for fieldwork;
• Lead the health and safety meeting on site with subcontractors;
• Prepare coolers with samples and complete analysis forms;
• Complete all site forms and prepare the photo descriptions;
• Conduct geophysical campaigns;
• Perform all other related tasks.

Requirements and Education

• DEC (Environmental Management Technology or Mineral Technology specialization in Geology);
• More than 3 years of relevant experience;
• Meticulous;
• Enjoys working in the field;
• Able to work in a team;
• Responsible;
• Reliable.
