Accounting Technician, Finance - Construction

Under the immediate supervision of the Construction Division Controller, the accounting technician will support the team in accounting and administration. The role will be varied and will include the following activities: billing, project analysis, end of month and year, and financial analysis.

General Accounting

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Account for credit card transactions.
• Track and account for city deposits with the urban planning department.
• Prepare and submit TPS/TVQ declarations.
• Perform journal entries related to the allocation of materials to projects.
• Perform various reconciliation entries and participate in monthly financial closings.
• Participate in end-of-year verification work.
• Support the financial team in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
• Accounts Receivable and Collection
• Issue, send, record, and track customer invoices.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing and payments.
• Record receipts and apply payments in the accounting system.
• Track accounts in arrears and coordinate collection activities.
• Prepare and submit the required documents for payment.
• Maintain up-to-date accounts receivable reports.
• Track deposit guarantees.
• Produce and analyze monthly marketing and Due Diligence expense billing.

Qualifications

• DEC in administrative techniques, finance option or accounting technician.
• 0 to 3 years of experience in accounting in accounts receivable management.
• Experience in construction or project management, an asset.
• Proficiency in Office suite software and Acumatica accounting software (Asset).
• Experience in the construction industry (Asset).
• Respect for ethical rules regarding the management of confidential files.
