Automotive Mechanic

Midas is looking for a skilled and customer-focused Licensed Mechanic to join our service team. In this role, you will perform a wide range of automotive maintenance and repair services, ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable, and road-ready. You will also contribute to creating a positive customer experience by delivering high-quality work and clear communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general automotive maintenance and repairs including brakes, suspension, exhaust, tires, steering, and wheel alignments.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues using proper tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance according to manufacturer and Midas standards.
• Install parts and complete repairs in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Provide honest and transparent explanations of vehicle issues and repair recommendations to customers.
• Assist in training and supporting apprentices and junior technicians as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Automotive Service Technician (AST) license in Quebec (Compulsory Trade – CPA permit).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in automotive service and repair (experience at a dealership or service centre is an asset).
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with computerized diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to customer service and quality workmanship.
