- Your daily challenges
Reporting to the Dean, the holder of the position assists and advises the administration in planning and managing human, financial, IT, physical, and material resources in accordance with the Faculty's strategic plan and mission.
- Plan, administer, and control the Faculty's budget and finances in collaboration with the Dean. Bring your financial expertise to the Dean's office and vice-deans to guide decision-making;
- Ensure the management of material and IT resources, and the arrangement of the Faculty's physical spaces (allocation of spaces, arrangements, equipment, etc.);
- Plan workforce needs by developing a staffing plan with members of the Dean's office, taking into account projected personnel movements. Ensure the implementation of good practices in management to create and maintain a healthy work environment. Ensure compliance with the application of collective bargaining agreements for staff;
- Orient, guide, coordinate, support, and evaluate the personnel under your authority. Define the objectives of your sector and direct all activities and operations in terms of administrative management of human, financial, and material resources;
- Assist and advise teaching staff in the management of human and financial resources within the framework of research projects;
- Develop and implement processes, follow-up and control modalities necessary for the proper functioning of the Faculty's administration and budget;
- Analyze and resolve administrative, organizational, and budgetary problems submitted by members of the Dean's office. Propose and develop financial and administrative policies and procedures. Propose financial business plans within the framework of new service and program development projects, and ensure their follow-up.
What you need to succeed in this role
- Bachelor's degree in administration or a relevant field. A first or second cycle degree in nursing sciences is an asset;
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar position, including several years in personnel management within complex organizations;
- Ability to manage diverse teams and maintain an inclusive work environment;
- Demonstrate strong relational skills and a great ability to influence and develop internal and external partnerships;
- Demonstrate leadership and critical judgment;
- Have a strategic vision;
- Have a great capacity for innovation.
