The normal work schedule is on a 4-week rotation, consisting of 2 weeks of work (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks of paid leave. Privileges & Benefits

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support, maintain, and optimize the administrative network infrastructure (Cisco iOS-XE / Nexus), as well as the firewall and routing infrastructure (Fortinet, Mikrotik)
• Support, maintain, and optimize the production network infrastructure (OT) (Cisco, Fortinet, Schneider)
• In collaboration with the telecom technician, support and maintain satellite communication systems (C-Band, OneWeb, Starlink), microwave (Cambium, AirMux), and LTE
• Support the integration into the hybrid Azure network infrastructure
• Ensure the integrity and security of the network infrastructure
• Provide level 2 and 3 technical support to users
• Establish and implement a network security and resilience improvement strategy
• Actively participate in continuous improvement, expansion, and maintenance projects of the IT department, as well as procurement processes
• Participate in tests and maintenance of the infrastructure for the disaster recovery system
• Keep up-to-date documentation related to different systems and write procedural reports.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administration of the company's network infrastructure
• Administration of network status monitoring systems
• On rotation, provide emergency support outside regular hours
• Provide level 2 and 3 support to users
• Participate in implementation windows outside regular hours
• Create procedures and document existing systems
• Analyze and implement update and improvement projects
• In collaboration with the IT supervisor, participate in the procurement process.

REQUIREMENTS

• College diploma (DEC) or bachelor's degree in computer science accompanied by a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience related to the job
• Excellent experience in LAN and WAN network administration, including firewalls, routing, VLAN, VPN / GRE, OSPF, MPLS / VPLS
• In-depth knowledge of ring network protocols (RTP / RSTP, REP, MRP)
• In-depth knowledge of OT technologies (Modbus, OPC, Profinet)
• Knowledge of satellite and microwave communications is an asset
• Cisco CCNA and Fortinet NSE certification is an asset.
• Bilingual French/English (spoken and written) is essential.
• WORK CONDITIONS
• Physical

Effort: The incumbent performs most of their work in front of a computer. The work requires occasional physical effort (load of 20 kg or less).

Work

Environment: The work is mostly done in an office environment, except for telecommunications sites. However, the incumbent may occasionally be required to work in the factory and outdoors.

Mental

Stress: Interactions with numerous stakeholders make the work intense and sometimes stressful. In case of outages, clients may be pressuring or even aggressive due to the importance of IT in daily operations.
