About the position
The Scientific Researcher in Flow Cytometry and Cellular Assays is assigned to projects based on their scientific expertise and training. They ensure the overall integrity and quality of the studies they are responsible for. They may also be designated as the main contact for exchanges between the laboratory and clients regarding the projects they are responsible for.
What you will do here
- Bring your expertise in flow cytometry to all internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate autonomy and mastery in the development, planning, management, execution, reporting, and troubleshooting of various types of assays to ensure scientific quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Be assigned studies and missions by the study director based on your scientific expertise and training (which may include method development, validation, or sample analysis projects).
- For validations and sample analysis, the researcher may be designated as the principal investigator in bioanalysis; they are then the first point of contact for the project manager and/or clients for laboratory services, and they manage and lead the development, qualification, validation, and production studies of methods for clinical and non-clinical studies, in accordance with the study protocol/plan, amendments, Good Clinical Practices (GCP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and best practices;
- Manage the project and order the appropriate materials, as needed.
- If applicable, provide quality control support for studies assigned to other team members within the laboratory, based on your training and expertise.
- If applicable, review batches of data, perform trend analyses on multiple batches, complete the required documentation by tracking deviations, events, and non-conformity reports, and review or approve notes filed in the dossier or deviations from SOPs, protocol, or study plan.
- If applicable, provide a report and/or account of the results within the deadlines set for the study, ensure that any deviation or exceptional event is properly addressed, and ensure that all analyses performed are recorded and accurate.
- Manage activities to meet deadlines and planning commitments.
- If applicable, review and provide comments and recommendations, as needed, regarding the bioanalytical aspects of preclinical and clinical protocols, study plans, laboratory manuals, data transfer agreements, and/or other documents, as needed.
- Accompany and mentor analysts in their daily activities to carry out sample analyses and/or validation studies, as well as their work.
- Accompany and mentor other team members based on your expertise.
- Be responsible for troubleshooting problems encountered in the course of studies and be able to resolve them autonomously by developing an appropriate procedure.
- Organize and communicate complex sets of data clearly and concisely to key stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
- Write, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to methods, as needed.
- Participate in meetings with clients, conferences, and scientific awareness activities.
- Perform the required tasks in accordance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Clinical Practices (GCP), and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and comply with all company policies and directives.
- Comply with health and safety standards regarding personal protective equipment, laboratory maintenance, and work procedures.
What you need to succeed
- A university degree in biology, biochemistry, immunology, or a relevant field, preferably.
- Experience in regulated clinical and/or preclinical studies is desired, typically with 3 years of experience.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Level I researcher or equivalent.
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines; understanding of general Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and excellent mastery of GLP regulations.

- Ability to read and understand study plans and protocols, as well as the ability to mentor and support colleagues.
