Under the authority of the Logistics Supervisor, the Forklift Team Lead, in addition to acting as a Forklift Operator, must also act as a leader for the entire team, sharing advice, motivating, supporting, and encouraging collective efforts.

Working

Hours: Monday to

Thursday: 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM.

Availability to work on weekends and to perform overtime as needed.

List of Tasks

• Coordinate a team and apply current policies and procedures;
• Participate in the management of disciplinary measures and support them;
• Evaluate the quality of work of team members;
• Ensure compliance with work standards through inspections and observations;
• Help resolve issues between team members;
• Promote a healthy work environment;
• Ensure compliance with safety standards in the department;
• Participate in investigations in case of accidents;
• Account for your team's ability to meet production goals;
• Communicate with all units to ensure everything is running smoothly;
• Provide necessary training to your team;
• Check meat rotation and manage the reception of meats and others;
• Execute transfers for Laval;
• Fill out reception and transfer documents;
• Document meetings with employees and transmit them to human resources and your supervisor;
• Perform the usual work of a forklift operator, including operating different types of forklifts;
• Distribute work among team members;
• Meet prescribed deadlines;
• Apply health and safety standards, industrial best practices;
• Ensure that your actions in your role support the production and delivery of products with the company's defined quality and food safety standards.

SQF/HACCP Requirements

• Ensure compliance with the SQF food safety code and report any food safety issues to authorized personnel;

• Have the skills of a forklift operator.
• Be able to read, write, and speak French.
• Motivational and team-building leadership.

• First aid training in the workplace.
• Ability to make decisions.

• Ability to manage work surpluses and stress.
• Proficiency in working with various computer tools (computer and software).
