Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the industrial mechanic performs preventive and corrective maintenance on building-related equipment and services to ensure their proper functioning and prevent unplanned downtime.

Task list:

• Perform the work required by preventive and corrective maintenance work orders on the building;
• Troubleshoot and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems;
• Follow and comply with the preventive maintenance schedule;
• Repair and maintain pumps, motors, boilers, lighting, doors, locks, and related equipment;
• Complete the required forms and documents associated with the work performed;
• Manage and update the inventory;
• Ensure the detection of any issues to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and comfort of the premises and notify the responsible parties, if necessary;
• Perform disassembly, installation, and adjustment operations;
• Perform lighting work (changing blasts, neon, high-altitude work);
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers when necessary;
• Be able to operate forklifts and aerial work platforms;
• Ensure that your actions in your role support the production of products with the company's defined quality and food safety standards;
• Any other related tasks.

Required experience

• DEP in industrial mechanics; an asset
• Experience in the food industry in processes and production lines; an asset;
• Good knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems;
• Knowledge and skills to weld using TIG for sanitary welds; an asset;
• Skills to perform manual tasks;
• Skills to perform physical efforts;
• Ability to work in a team.
• Salary up to $35/hour, depending on experience.
