Several positions are available. We are open to both newly graduated individuals and experienced technicians. Responsibilities and level of autonomy will be adapted based on the candidate's experience and skills.

Located in Saint-Eustache, Trafic Innovation is a manufacturing SME that, despite its 25 years of existence, has reinvented itself as a leader in electronic road signaling. With the Americas as its playground, our distribution network extends from east to west across Canada and the United States, reaching as far as Peru. The challenges within our team are on par with those of a growing SME with ambitious goals, aligned with cutting-edge patent developments in the industry. The electronics technician contributes to the technical support provided by the after-sales service, both remotely and on-site. In collaboration with the After-Sales Manager and the production, engineering, and development teams, this person participates in the diagnosis of technical issues, product and prototype testing, and continuous improvement of equipment.

The position also includes approximately 10% of electronic assembly tasks in the workshop, thereby providing hands-on knowledge of the products and their manufacturing process.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Field Interventions and After-Sales Service (SAV)

  • Support the SAV Manager in handling technical requests.
  • Participate in the diagnosis and resolution of on-site issues.
  • Perform checks, adjustments, and repairs on equipment.
  • Contribute to finding solutions for customer complaints.
  • Attend weekly SAV planning meetings.
  • Document interventions and contribute to customer ticket tracking.
  • Gradually develop autonomy in handling technical interventions.

Research and Development

  • Participate in the continuous improvement of products and their performance.
  • Share field experience with the product committee to enhance future equipment generations.

Support to Production and Electronic Assembly

  • Perform electronic assembly tasks in the workshop according to plans, procedures, and established quality standards.
  • Handle tools and equipment necessary for assembly, including soldering irons, screwdrivers, and measuring instruments.
  • Participate in programming, functional testing, and quality control of assembled products.
  • Report observed anomalies and contribute to their resolution.
  • Suggest improvements to the manufacturing, assembly, and quality control processes.
  • Provide occasional support on special projects.
  • Contribute to the implementation of new work methods within the electronics department.

DESIRED PROFILE

  • Technical studies diploma in electronics.
  • Newly graduated individuals as well as those with experience are invited to apply.
  • Knowledge in electronic diagnosis and a keen interest in solving technical problems.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital circuits as well as microprocessors.
  • Knowledge of solar panel systems, radio communications, or microprocessor programming is an asset.
  • Proficiency in French, both spoken and written.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Availability to perform field trips.
  • Good physical condition with the ability to lift up to 45 pounds occasionally.
  • Good manual dexterity and ease in using assembly tools and measuring instruments.
  • Sense of organization, diligence, and method.
  • Curiosity, willingness to learn, and openness to feedback.
  • Good team spirit and ability to collaborate with different services.
  • Customer service orientation and ease in interactions.
