What is a Youth Reintegration Center?
Youth Reintegration Centers are public institutions that offer reintegration, integration, and social reinsertion services for young people who have adaptation difficulties. These centers aim to promote the development and autonomy of the young people admitted, while providing a secure and stimulating living environment.
Responsibilities
- Identify needs and determine objectives to be achieved in collaboration with the user, their family, and partners, within the perspective of a life project, in order to implement their intervention plan
- Develop a meaningful relationship with the young person and dedicate the time and resources required
- Transfer the learning related to daily living skills
- Accompany the young person, taking into account their interests and abilities
- Support the young person's motivation while respecting their pace
- Conduct indirect interventions with young people, colleagues, or partners

Requirements
The person must be available a minimum of 2 days every two weeks in the evening or 4 days every two weeks in day and evening shifts, including one weekend every two weeks. Full-time positions are also available.
Day shifts start at 6:30 AM and evening shifts start at 2:00 PM.
Several pathways are accepted and considered to become an educator:
- DEC in specialized education
- DEC in delinquency intervention
- DEC in social work
- AEC in specialized education with more than 2000 hours
- 50% completion of the general course leading to the official diploma in specialized education (proof of completion from the college required)
- 2 years of college and 1 university certificate in social sciences
- International and/or Non-Work Permit Candidates
If you do not reside in Canada and/or do not possess the necessary authorizations to work legally in Canada, such as a valid work permit or permanent resident status, please do not submit your application on this site, as it will not be processed.
