Furniture Assembler

Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Furniture Assembler performs various workshop tasks such as assembling pieces and boxes according to production plans and estimates.

• Main Tasks
• 1. Assembling boxes according to plans and estimates;
• 2. Using different tools inherent to the tasks;
• 3. Installing hardware;
• 4. Ensuring the quality and conformity of components;
• 5. Using a forklift to move material or furniture pallets;
• 6. Maintaining a clean work environment;

7. Any other related tasks.

Specific Job Requirements

Education

• DES or equivalent
• Previous Experience
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of reading production plans and estimates
• Forklift operator's license would be an asset

Required Skills

• Ability to read a gallon to measure
• Good manual skills to use hand tools
• Quick understanding and execution
• Ability to visualize a finished product
• Ability to manage priorities and solution-oriented
• Work diligence and Team spirit
