Shipping and Receiving Clerk

The purpose of this position

Reporting to the Operations Department, the incumbent of this position participates in the company's daily logistics activities, including the reception of raw materials and supplies, the shipment of finished products, and coordination with transportation companies. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk ensures the quality of products from their arrival at Nuances Mj throughout their storage and packaging.

Summary of Responsibilities

• Verify shipping documents and bills of lading for the accuracy of delivered materials and supplies, process reception transactions, and ensure the transmission of documents to the relevant departments;
• Enter data into the ERP system in relation to shipping and receiving operations;
• Verify compliance with our quality standards during receptions and shipments, as well as adherence to our procurement policy;
• Prepare raw materials needed for production operations according to manufacturing requirements;
• Ensure weekly and/or as-needed inventory taking of inputs and finished products through active participation and leadership;
• Validate and analyze actual inventories and stock management to ensure adequate product availability while avoiding surpluses and stockouts;
• Perform all operations related to the reception, storage, and shipment of all inputs and finished products of the company;
• Position raw materials in designated spaces in accordance with the FIFO principle;
• Ensure the arrangement of products in the vault and adherence to different storage zones;
• Participate, in collaboration with and under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Department, in the destruction of cannabis, finished products, inputs, or labels not suitable for sale;
• Operate the manual pallet truck and forklift;
• Provide support to production operations as needed by the company;
• Communicate and collaborate with various internal departments (production, HR, accounting) and contribute to the company's success and improve the efficiency of activities.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience;
• 1 to 3 years of experience in logistics and/or procurement;
• Proficiency in English, both oral and written, to ensure effective communication with suppliers (asset);
• Ability to handle a manual pallet truck and forklift;
• Hold a valid certification for the use of a manual pallet truck and forklift (asset);
• Multitasking, leadership, quick thinking, ability to take on tasks, and capable of making decisions with minimal supervision;
• Comfortable with computers and logistics aspects;
• Demonstrates attention to detail, organizational skills, and a strong sense of detail;
• Shows a good team spirit and ability to work in a team;
• Analytical, perfectionist, and self-motivated.
