Barrel Pumping Operator - (Night Shift, 4 Days/Week)

Description
Under the direction of the production supervisor, barrel section, the barrel pumping operator is responsible for the emptying of bulk semi-trailers at the pumping station and the cleaning and shredding of empty containers.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Inspect and ensure the proper functioning of fixed, mobile, gravity, and motorized barrel conveyors before use;
- Inspect and ensure the proper functioning of the VE-63 ventilation hood before use;
- Inspect and ensure the proper functioning of shredders DS-103 & DS-104 before use;
- Inspect and ensure the proper functioning of the barrel manipulator before use;
- Inspect and ensure the proper functioning of pump P-125, SP-101, and the bucket of the well serving the pumping station's well management;
- Inspect and ensure the proper functioning of high-pressure pump HP-101, lung pumps PP30 & PP31, starter valves, and the alignment of valves T106/T107 before use;
- Read and understand series/memo destination memos;
- Verify the barrels to be pumped according to the discharge memos;
- Perform compatibility tests between different units to be pumped.
- Discharge liquid semi-trailers at the pumping station;
- Update the status of units in the EDS system via the barcode reader;
- Clean and destroy emptied containers at the pumping station;
- Store units to be returned to customers;
- Clean the work area following discharge operations;
- Clean work equipment after use;
- Perform a check of your forklift before use;
- Make work requests when equipment is not compliant or broken;
- Lock your own equipment;
- When operations allow, support other operators on tasks such as placing sorting labels, assistance in barrel discharge (cleaning, opening of t-sac), shredding of empty barrels…;
- Additionally, upon request, perform any other related tasks that may fall under this position.

- Know the dangers, possible impacts, and prevention elements of your tasks to protect the environment, your health, safety, and physical integrity, as well as that of others;
- Respect Stablex's health-safety-environment policy. Implement and respect work methods, procedures, instructions, and prevention rules. Hold colleagues accountable to do the same;
- Collaborate and team up with colleagues and supervisor to identify and eliminate SHE risks related to your work;
- Share any ideas that would help achieve Stablex's SHE commitments and objectives more effectively.
- Report to your immediate supervisor as soon as possible any problematic, dangerous incident, situation, or event, or any act, situation, or issue of legal compliance, deontology, ethics, or integrity in which you are directly involved or witness.
- Ask for more explanation regarding misunderstood health-safety aspects.
QUALITY
- Know the aspects of your work that may impact (hinder or improve) operations to meet customer needs and expectations;
- Respect Stablex's quality policy. Implement work methods, procedures, and instructions;
- Participate in the continuous improvement of work practices and services offered to customers;
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Experience in the handling of solid and liquid bulk materials, an asset;
- Knowledge of forklift operation, an asset;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Ability to work on rotating shifts or at night.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma (DES) or equivalent;
- French is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Be able to manipulate loads of 25kg;
- Be able to wear personal protective equipment for long periods of time.
SCHEDULE: Night shift, 4 days/week (9 pm to 7 am), from Monday evening to Friday morning.

Compensation: $36.53 per hour
