Under the supervision of the program coordination and in direct collaboration with the school administration, the Youth Prevention Agent will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of the drug prevention program. The approach to consumption is harm reduction and respect for the school's code of conduct.
The challenge we offer you
- Individual intervention with secondary school students facing consumption issues.
- Animation of prevention workshops for targeted classes and during lunch hour.
- Building and animating awareness activities for the entire school and youth partner organizations.
- Developing intervention and animation tools for the program.
- Writing reports and summaries.
- Maintaining privileged relationships with the partner school, school staff, and youth organizations in the community.
- Adhering to the YMCA's policies and procedures regarding the protection of children and vulnerable persons.
- Understanding and integrating the value of philanthropy in your role and within the Association, and participating in the annual campaign and/or other fundraising events.

The person we are looking for should
- Hold a college diploma (technical) in a field related to intervention.
- Have 1 to 3 years of experience in intervention, specifically with a 12-17-year-old clientele.
- Be fluent in French, both orally and in writing.
- Have intermediate English skills: The employee will need to communicate in English both orally and in writing with various people on a daily basis.
- Be able to travel easily in Montreal, due to occasional travel related to the functions.
- Have no criminal record related to the job.
The YMCA is subject to the Law aimed at strengthening secularism in the education network and amending various legislative provisions. This Law, among other things, prohibits any person providing services to students from wearing a religious sign and requires them to perform their duties with their face uncovered.
