The Auto Parts Counter Clerk works in a fast-paced environment and supports accredited auto mechanics to find and provide the right parts for auto repairs. This role includes using an auto parts computerized system to estimate repairs, order parts, and control and maintain inventory.

Responsibilities
- Ensure the Auto Center team maximizes customer experience by providing the right auto parts on time.
- Process auto parts and tire requests from accredited auto mechanics.
- Communicate with the Auto Center manager, technical advisors, accredited auto mechanics, and installers.
- Perform auto parts, shop supplies, and product ordering from authorized suppliers.
- Maintain and control inventory accuracy.
- Check and fill batteries, test starters and alternators.
- Stock presentation areas.
- Process returns, warranties, and consigned items, as needed.
- Comply with health and safety regulations.
Requirements/Skills
- No experience required! – We will provide all the training you need! You just need to be passionate about cars.
- Knowledge of current auto mechanics and technology
- Customer-focused
- Ability to perform physical efforts, including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and transporting merchandise, using a ladder, performing twists, turning, and reaching for objects
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to plan and organize daily tasks
- Ability to work shifts (day, evening, weekend, and holidays)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt, and handle difficult situations and make decisions
- High school diploma (asset)
- Knowledge of the auto parts search system (asset)
