Summary Description

Reporting to the Maintenance Department, we are looking for a Technical Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for maintaining our spaces and participating in the execution of all tasks related to the building's technical maintenance to offer our guests a flawless product in line with the chain's standards.

Our Maintenance Technicians will work together with the rest of the Maintenance team to provide our guests with impeccable service and in line with our DNA: evolved, appealing, and connected. At Humaniti Montréal Hotel, we seek people who have the human at heart and will deliver an experience in line with our wellness concept to our clients.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Maintenance of guest rooms and common areas.
• Repairs in guest rooms (caulking, painting, tile repairs, appliances, etc.).
• Repair of carpets and tiles.
• Basic plumbing and carpentry work.
• Painting repairs.
• Perform preventive inspections of various spaces and carry out the necessary work to maintain the quality of the premises.
• Check and maintain electrical installations.
• Check and maintain mechanical rooms.
• Check and maintain gym equipment.
• Check and maintain ice/water machines.
• Check and maintain elevators.
• Check and maintain parking.
• Perform snow removal.
• Maintenance and repair of pool/sauna and terrace equipment.
• Inspect the exterior of the building, fences, lighting, sprinklers, façade, and perform maintenance/repairs as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance of the air conditioning/heating system (A/C) (coils, filters, etc.).
• Inspect smoke detectors according to established procedures.
• Manage the fire panel and life safety. (Life Safety)
• Inspect and perform preventive maintenance of various work tools.
• Communicate with the hotel reception when an issue may impact the guests.
• Respond promptly and courteously to service calls and confirm the completion of work.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and repair tasks and follow up with the director.
• Perform any other related tasks.

Skills and Requirements

• Diploma of studies in a field related to building maintenance or equivalent combination.
• Experience in building maintenance.
• Skills in carpentry, plumbing, and electricity.
• Availability day, evening, and weekend.
• Bilingualism (French and English, requirement due to an international clientele).
• Experience with Marriott hotel chain, an asset.
