Description

The Payroll Officer directly contributes to the stability and credibility of the organization's operations by ensuring rigorous and compliant management of payroll and government obligations. With their technical expertise and close collaboration with the HR team, the person in this role supports reliable and structured administrative practices, essential for the smooth functioning of the entire organization.

Payroll Processing

  • Ensure complete payroll processing every two weeks, including the management of PQDS and QDSInternational payrolls.
  • Produce validation reports to ensure the accuracy of data.
  • Prepare end-of-year documents (T4, Relevés 1, summary statements).
  • Perform employment terminations in the systems, produce employment statements and calculate severance pay.
  • Perform annual and periodic calculations related to CNESS.

Legal Compliance and Government Obligations

  • Produce required annual and periodic declarations (CNESST salary declaration, Skills Act – Law 1%, etc.).
  • Administratively follow up on CNESST files related to payroll.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll-related regulatory obligations.

System Management and Data Integrity

  • Ensure the updating of HR data in the systems (Nethris, Folks, and Agendrix).
  • Process personnel movements in collaboration with the HR coordinator.
  • Maintain the integrity and consistency of data in the HR platforms.
  • Contribute to the optimization and continuous improvement of processes related to systems and payroll.

Customer Service and Operational Support

  • Act as a resource person for employees and managers regarding payroll-related questions.
  • Participate in the improvement of administrative policies and processes.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure the consistency and efficiency of internal practices.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PERSON WHO

  • Has at least 2 years of experience in complete payroll processing for 100 to 150 employees.
  • Has experience with the Nethris, Agendrix, and Folks platforms (or similar alternatives).
  • Is comfortable working with multiple integrated systems and validating data from different platforms to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Demonstrates a high level of rigor.
  • Is known for discretion and efficiency.
  • Places great importance on customer service.
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced and changing operational context.
  • Is certified by the National Payroll Institute (asset).
