Join the team at DoubleTree by Hilton Pointe-Claire Montreal Airport West, a full-service hotel managed by Easton's Group of Hotels in partnership with Hilton. Our establishment features 311 rooms, 14 meeting and event rooms, and welcomes business and leisure travelers from around the world.

We are seeking a dynamic, professional, and customer service-oriented part-time Front Desk Agent to join our reception team. As the first point of contact with our guests, you will contribute to providing a warm and memorable experience from check-in to check-out. Job Overview

Check in and check out guests in a timely and professional manner; process all payments according to established procedures to ensure guest satisfaction.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a friendly, prompt, and professional manner.
  • Register guests, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room locations; prepare for group check-ins and VIP arrivals; be aware of hotel events/functions during service. Answer the phone in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Sell rooms when possible to maximize hotel revenue.
  • Handle all cash and credit card transactions accurately according to established procedures, including but not limited to, recording all charges, preparing cash reports, and other related tasks, preparing deposits, and counting/secure assigned banks.
  • Deliver, control, and release guest safes.
  • Communicate to management any pending guest requests or issues that may require additional monitoring or follow-up.
  • Respond appropriately to guest requests; promote hotel services, facilities, and points of sale; provide guests with information such as local attractions and directions to increase their satisfaction. Make appropriate service recovery gestures to ensure total guest satisfaction.
  • May be required to make reservations for individuals and/or groups, requested by phone or in-house, to process cancellations, revisions, and updates to guest information on changes.
  • Promote teamwork and service quality through daily communications and coordination with other departments.
  • Perform other tasks as needed, including room inspections, concierge services, special guest requests, etc.
  • In the performance of your duties, you will adhere to all company and brand standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus one year of experience in the reception or visitor services field. Some post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Proficiency in both French and English is required, as this position involves providing quality customer service to guests from across Canada and internationally.
  • This position requires the ability to perform the following tasks:
  • Stand frequently behind the desk and reception.
  • Remain stationary for long periods.
  • Carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Manipulate objects, products, and computer equipment.
  • Use a keyboard to operate various property management and reservation systems, etc.

  • Basic mathematical skills are frequently used.
  • Problem-solving, reasoning, motivation, and training skills are often used.
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
