YOUR NEXT CHALLENGES:
Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Communications and Community Relations, you will be responsible for implementing the stakeholder engagement strategy and deploying initiatives that promote harmonious coexistence between the Goldex Mine Complex operations and its host community.
You will develop and maintain positive relationships with communities, neighbors, organizations, and other stakeholders. You will contribute to the fulfillment of the organization's commitments and participate in the implementation of various initiatives that promote the social acceptance of our activities.
More specifically, you will perform the following tasks
- Develop and maintain lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Supervise and develop the Community Relations and Communications Advisor to maximize their potential;
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement mechanisms, consultations, and outreach activities;
- Manage and track concerns, comments, and complaints from the community;
- Participate in the organization of follow-up committees, citizen meetings, and community events;
- Monitor commitments related to good neighbor frameworks, collaboration agreements, and various consultation mechanisms;
- Contribute to the fulfillment of requirements and protocols applicable to community relations and sustainable development (TSM, RMMS);
- Support the preparation of reports, follow-ups, and accountability related to stakeholder relations (Boréalis);
- Collaborate with various departments to support the site's sustainable development and social acceptance goals.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR YOUR SUCCESS
- Hold a university degree in a relevant field (community relations, communications, human resources, social work, etc.) or have professional experience in a similar role;
- Possess three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a similar position;
- Excellent oral and written French language skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with various stakeholders;
- Political acumen, judgment, and diplomacy;
- Knowledge of the realities and issues related to the mining industry;
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a constantly evolving environment;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
- Knowledge of spoken and written English (an asset);
- Experience and ease in making oral presentations (an asset);
- Strong autonomy, diligence, and organizational skills;
- Leadership, initiative, and team spirit.
Your work schedule
- Schedule: 5/2 (8 hours), 5/2-4/3 (9 hours), or 4/3 (10 hours), full-time, with the day shift team;
- Work location: The position is located at the Goldex Mine Complex and requires on-site presence.
