Reporting to the supervisor of advisor relations, the person in this position will be the first point of contact for advisors. They will need to resolve issues efficiently and provide coaching and support. They will be recognized as an expert in providing optimal service. They are a solid team player, responsible, and reliable.
What you will accomplish with us
As a Customer Service Advisor, you will be at the heart of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:
- Respond to incoming calls effectively and professionally; active listening is essential
- Provide accurate and detailed answers to telephone inquiries
- Offer technical support for our tools (testing, troubleshooting, problem resolution)
- Respond quickly and professionally to emails, providing accurate information
- Ensure that pending requests are followed up on and processed within the required timeframes
- Escalate unresolved issues to the supervisor in a timely manner
- Ensure that every interaction is memorable by applying the STAR qualities (Simple, Reliable, Attentive, and Resourceful)
- Record calls and emails in JIRA (internal tracking and messaging system)
- Actively participate in daily management meetings aimed at improving processes
- Be responsible for learning new processes and procedures
- Be able to handle difficult calls and manage expectations using the tools provided during training (e.g., Stellar Service)
- What could accelerate your success in this role
- We are looking for a person who:
- Has 2 to 3 years of experience in customer service, preferably in the financial services or insurance sector.
- Is recognized for their excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrates resourcefulness, good analytical thinking, and a strong sense of organization.
- Stands out for their ability to solve problems and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Is available to work Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
- Is proficient in French and has an advanced level of English since the person will be required to communicate with internal and external clients across Canada on a daily basis.
