What you will accomplish with us
As a Senior Risk Management Advisor, you will be at the heart of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:
- Participate in the integration of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and tools within the sector, adapting them to business realities.
- Ensure coordination and alignment with various stakeholders, including corporate risk management and compliance functions.
- Strengthen the understanding and appropriation of practices, as well as the proactive and integrated risk management culture, among business teams.
- Build trust-based relationships with business managers and sector partners, and develop a deep understanding of their issues and priorities.
- Support business teams in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks, proposing a structured methodology and tailored advice.
- Formulate recommendations to illuminate decision-making and support the development of action plans aimed at mitigating risks.
- Develop and enhance risk tracking mechanisms, including risk indicators, operational risk events, and control effectiveness.
- Prepare analyses, executive summaries, and presentations for governance bodies.
- Participate in the definition and continuous improvement of the team's standards, methods, processes, and tools.

- We are looking for a person who:
- Holds a bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting.
- Possesses a minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role in risk management.
- Has experience in the insurance or financial services sector.
- Demonstrates excellent understanding of risk management concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Possesses strong ability to understand business issues, adopt a strategic mindset, and anticipate risks that may affect achieving objectives.
- Is recognized for their ability to influence, advise, and build trust-based relationships with various stakeholders.
- Stands out for their strong analytical and judgment skills, allowing them to formulate context-appropriate recommendations.
- Demonstrates the ability to simplify complex topics and communicate effectively with different audiences.
- Possesses an intermediate level of English language proficiency, as the role holder will be required to communicate via emails and calls with anglophone clients and partners across Canada on a daily basis.
