As a Senior Risk Advisor, you will be at the heart of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:

Integrate risk management frameworks, methodologies, and tools within the sector, adapting them to business realities.

Coordinate and align with various stakeholders, including corporate risk management and compliance functions.

Strengthen the understanding and adoption of risk management practices, as well as the proactive and integrated risk management culture, among business teams.

Build trustworthy relationships with sector managers and business partners, and develop a deep understanding of their issues and priorities.

Support business teams in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks, proposing a structured methodology and tailored advice.

Formulate recommendations to illuminate decision-making and support the development of action plans aimed at mitigating risks.

Develop and enhance risk tracking mechanisms, including risk indicators, operational risk events, and control effectiveness.

Prepare analyses, executive summaries, and presentations for governance bodies.

Participate in the definition and continuous improvement of the team's standards, methods, processes, and tools.

What Could Accelerate Your Success in This Role

We are looking for someone who: Has a bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting.

Has a minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role in risk management.

Has experience in the insurance or financial services industry.

Demonstrates excellent understanding of risk management concepts, methodologies, and best practices.

Possesses strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to anticipate risks that may impact achieving objectives.

Is recognized for their ability to influence, advise, and build trust with various stakeholders.

Stand out with their strong analytical and judgment skills to formulate context-appropriate recommendations.

Demonstrates the ability to simplify complex topics and communicate effectively with different audiences.

Has intermediate English language proficiency, as the role holder will be required to communicate via emails and calls with anglophone clients and partners across Canada on a daily basis.
