Development Agent – Community Life and Volunteering

The Quebec Council for Recreation (QCR) is committed to contributing to the accessibility and prestige of recreation in Quebec by valuing the contribution of the associative sector. The QCR brings together national recreation organizations and collaborates with many partners, sectors, and at all levels of intervention.

The development agent for volunteering and community life will collaborate on various ongoing projects, including volunteering and community life. This person must be able to promote mobilization and cooperation within the framework of structuring projects by using collective approaches to consultation, consultation, partnership, and mutualization. They will accompany organizations in a perspective of strengthening their functioning based on autonomous community action, community action, volunteering, and social economy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Accompany national recreation organizations in conducting a diagnostic of their community life, an action plan, and its implementation.

Develop a strategic vision on volunteering and volunteers in the associative leisure sector.

Inventory existing knowledge and tools.

Develop or adapt existing tools.

Animate training, consultation, and consultation activities.

Write reports, reports, etc.

Perform any other related tasks in connection with the organization's mission.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Hold a university degree in recreation, culture, and tourism, management, entrepreneurship, administration, or another related field, or have relevant work experience in a relevant field.

Know the actors in the associative leisure sector in cultural, outdoor, scientific, socio-educational, and tourist leisure.

Have at least three years of relevant experience.

Hold a driver's license, an asset.

ADVANTAGEOUS CONDITIONS

Full-time position of 37.5 hours per week with the option of telecommuting.

Work location: Recreation and Sports House, 7665, Boulevard Lacordaire (Montreal).

Possibility of alternating between telecommuting and in-person work.

Salary according to qualifications and experience.

Start date: September 2026.
