What Your Typical Day Might Look Like

You will be part of a team of forward-thinking professionals with extensive experience in the advisory services sector, helping our clients solve their complex business challenges, from strategy to execution. Your role will be to establish and develop relationships with our clients and support them in their global trade needs. Your responsibilities could include researching and preparing reports, letters, service notes, and presentations on complex issues related to import and export, supporting businesses in managing commercial compliance requirements, and achieving tax savings in their global supply chains, analyzing data to identify potential gaps or savings opportunities related to trade, supporting the execution of multiple missions for clients while respecting the schedule and budget, and mentoring less experienced personnel in career development.

You will collaborate with team members across the country to help them acquire and develop their expertise at Deloitte. In this role, you will not only work with the Global Trade team and other service lines in Canada, including tax, audit, financial advisory, and consulting, but also with colleagues worldwide who help non-resident clients address global trade issues. You will develop your expertise in this area, participate in the development and delivery of training programs, and create a learning environment through your leadership.

Team Information A career within our Global Trade Advisory Services group will give you the opportunity to advise top-tier clients on international strategies, customs compliance, and supply chain optimization. More specifically, you will advise clients on a variety of issues related to import and export by providing them with leadership, vision, and practical guidance to identify and correct compliance gaps, anticipate the impact of regulatory changes, make processes more efficient, and achieve cost savings.

You possess the following required skills, experience, and qualifications: Bachelor's degree and outstanding academic results;

At least eight years of relevant work experience in the field of Canadian customs within a professional services environment (advisory services, industries, government, customs brokers, etc.);

Strong interpersonal skills, superior oral and written communication skills;

Strong research, writing, communication, and presentation skills, and attention to detail;

Unwavering commitment to professional excellence and customer service;

Project management experience demonstrating strong organizational, data management, planning and execution, and human resources skills;

Business and financial leadership experience demonstrating the ability to plan and manage budgets, finances, and operations;

Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.

Total Compensation

The salary range for this position is $116,000 to $215,000. Some individuals may be eligible for our bonus program. Salary-wise, Deloitte focuses on equity and competitiveness. We regularly compare our data to market benchmark data for various positions, sectors, targets, and levels.
