The Project Cost Controller works closely with the project director to ensure the proper execution of the project. His tasks are primarily of a financial nature and, to a lesser extent, commercial/contractual.

The main responsibilities for this key role are as follows:

• Project cost management and control;
• Responsible for project reports (internal and external);
• Create and maintain projects in SAP;
• Generate invoices according to the terms and conditions of the project;
• Project cash flow forecasting;
• Management of foreign currencies;
• Management of changes including the preparation of change requests and claims to customers, suppliers and insurance;
• Management of contractual risks and support of the project strategy;
• Prepare and follow up on bond requests and Letters of Credit.

• Strong relational skills with the client, project management and team leadership;
• Good understanding of projects or the construction industry;
• Good verbal and written communication skills;
• Autonomous with the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams;
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems;
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables);
• Knowledge of financial and commercial issues related to business;
• Knowledge of insurance issues in a project context (an asset);
• Project management skills (an asset);
• Bilingual (French/English);
• Must have legal status to work in Canada.
