Bartender / Barmaid for Outdoor Bars

FULL-TIME POSITIONS

In collaboration with the supervisor, the job holder is tasked with serving drinks or other products available at their point of sale. Ensure customer service according to the standards of Village Vacances Valcartier.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take orders from customers or servers
• Prepare drinks, wine, beer on tap or in bottles, and non-alcoholic beverages for servers and/or serve them directly to customers.
• Record sales, prepare the bill, and collect payment for drinks sold.
• Collect glasses, clean the counter, clean and re-place tables and chairs, empty trash bins.
• Maintain and control inventory and ensure compliance with provincial and territorial laws and regulations regarding alcohol.
• Place consumables (beers, juices, etc.) in the designated fridge.
• Balance the cash register at the end of the shift and make deposits.
• Other related tasks.

OPERATIONAL TASKS

• Represent VVV in the context of its activities and ensure the complete satisfaction of customers;
• Ensure the smooth functioning of operations;
• Welcome and inform customers about the different menus and products;
• Apply provincial and territorial laws and regulations regarding alcohol;
• Perform the opening and/or closing of the bar;
• Ensure the production, implementation, application, and optimization of work procedures;
• Report any anomalies to the immediate supervisor.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with the public (an asset)
• Comfortable with handling money
• Knowledge of French language usage
• Knowledge of English language usage since you will be working with an anglophone tourist clientele

• Ability to lift and carry loads up to 10kg (occasional)
• Ability to kneel, push, pull, and lift (occasional)
