Software Designer , you will play a key role in the Horizon program, a strategic initiative aimed at modernizing processes, operations, and technological platforms in the collective insurance sector. You will contribute to the design of robust, integrated, and scalable solutions that will improve the customer experience, simplify employees' work, support sector growth, and increase organizational efficiency.

Here are the main responsibilities
- Perform detailed technical and systemic design of solutions in accordance with established architectural guidelines.
- Design high-performance, scalable, reusable software components aligned with corporate standards.
- Collaborate on architecture work and contribute to the organization's technological orientations.
- Serve as a technical reference for delivery teams and ensure compliance with integration, development, quality, and security standards.
- Configure and optimize development, continuous deployment, and DevSecOps practices.
- Support the operationalization, deployment, and evolution of technological solutions.
- Promote the reuse of existing components and participate in the evaluation of new technological solutions, platforms, or services.
- Collaborate closely with architects, developers, analysts, and business partners to ensure the consistency and viability of delivered solutions.
- Ensure the production and maintenance of the necessary technical documentation for the sustainability of solutions.
- Mentor and support internal resources, partners, and suppliers involved in solution delivery.
- Participate in level 2 and level 3 support and resolve major incidents when required.
- Actively contribute to the development and execution of application and system evolution plans.
- Conduct continuous technological vigilance to promote best practices, methodologies, and cutting-edge tools within the organization.

We are looking for someone who
- Holds a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or any other relevant field.
- Has more than ten years of experience in information technologies, including at least three years as a software designer.
- Proactively, responsibly, and effectively uses artificial intelligence tools to optimize work, improve the quality of deliverables, and contribute to the continuous improvement of team practices and processes.
- Is proficient in modern software development approaches such as Agile, MVP, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
- Has solid experience in DevSecOps and the integration of security, quality, and compliance practices throughout the development cycle.
- Mastery of software design principles, including SOLID, Clean Code, maintainability, testability, and reusability.
- Demonstrates a proactive approach to the responsible use of artificial intelligence to improve the quality and efficiency of deliverables.
- Is recognized for communication skills, the ability to simplify complex technical concepts, and a synthesis mindset.
- Exercises mobilizing leadership and strong influence over delivery teams and various partners.
- Possesses a strong analytical and problem-solving ability for complex issues.
- Has significant experience in designing inter-application or inter-system integration solutions.
- Distinguishes themselves by their coordination, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Has knowledge of the insurance and financial services industry (asset).
- Has knowledge of Salesforce and its integration into an enterprise application ecosystem (asset).
- Intermediate level of English proficiency since the person will be required to communicate, analyze, and explain operational and technical issues to anglophone partners, suppliers, and business collaborators on a monthly basis.

Approaches and Architectures: API and microservices development, Azure cloud architectures, C4 architecture (asset).
