The person will be responsible for the development, optimization and support plasma etching processes for R&D and production project within a diversified equipment park including DRIE, RIE and plasma asher. He/she will ensure the technical mastery of existing processes and actively contribute to the manufacturability of our R&D project.

In close collaboration with the other engineering and production team, he/she will participate in the definition and implementation of innovative solutions to meet the specific needs of customers and the growing demands of the market. The role includes process qualification, solving complex technical issues, as well as documenting and passing on best practices.

The professional will act as a technical referent on plasma etching processes, guaranteeing the quality, reproducibility and reliability of the results. He/She will also contribute to identifying opportunities for improvement and proposing adapted solutions to strengthen the competitiveness and robustness of MEMS semiconductor manufacturing operations and other advanced devices.

What You’ll Do

  • Process development and optimization

+ Design, qualify and improve plasma etching & photoresist stripping recipes for different materials (Si, oxides, metals).

+ Adapt processes to the specific requirements of new customers and technological developments.

  • Equipment fleet management
  • + Supervise & optimize the recipe performance of RIE, DRIE and plasma asher tool

+ Identify preventive and corrective maintenance needs in collaboration with the technical team to improve product stability.

+ Propose improvements to increase the reliability and flexibility of equipment.

  • Technical support and innovation

+ Participate in innovation projects aimed at developing customized solutions for customers.

+ Contribute to the technological watch and the integration of new approaches.

  • Documentation and knowledge transfer

+ Write and maintain operational procedures and technical guides.

+ Provide training and support for new professionals.

+ Guarantee the traceability and compliance of processes with quality standards.

  • Cross-functional collaboration

+ Work in close coordination with the quality, R&D and production departments.

+ Review inspection criteria for critical steps with product and integration managers to ensure that the inspection meets the desired need

What You Need

  • Education and experience

+ University degree in materials engineering, electrical engineering, applied physics, microelectronics or related discipline.

+ Experience in plasma etching processes (RIE, ICP, etc.) + Experience in microfabrication and cleanroom.

+ Fluency in French and English (oral and written).

+ Innovative and curious mindset to develop solutions adapted to new customers.

+ Excellent communication and technical extension skills with multidisciplinary teams.

+ Ability to work in a team and collaborate with R&D, production and quality departments.

+ Resilience to technical challenges and ability to propose creative solutions.

  • Technical assets

+ Knowledge of plasma etching parameters (gas, RF power, pressure, temperature, selectivity, anisotropy).

+ Knowledge of MEMS and semiconductor manufacturing constraints (uniformity, reproducibility, contamination).

+ Ability to analyze and solve complex problems related to processes and equipment.
