Assembler / Boilermaker

IAI, founded in 1947, specializes in the production of high-quality stainless steel process and handling technologies.

We are currently looking for an Assembler-Boilermaker for our plant in Boucherville.

Tasks

• Read and interpret plans;
• Visualize the project to anticipate assembly steps;
• Develop pieces to be manufactured for a tank;
• Establish cutting lists;
• Perform various cutting, drilling, and assembly tasks required for the project;
• Assist the welder during spot welding if required;
• Assemble and weld stainless steel parts (GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW);
• Safely assemble tanks and other components (connections, thermal sleeves, agitators, walkways, etc.);
• Ensure compliance with tolerances on drawings or standard manufacturing tolerances for tanks;
• Ensure that all parts or equipment are degreased, dust-free, and inspected before tank delivery;
• Perform functional tests on all equipment and ensure the proper functioning of the tanks;
• Use a torch or plasma to cut, heat, and straighten deformed parts;
• Provide expertise, assistance, and support to teammates;
• Maintain a clean work environment;
• Protect stainless steel surfaces.

Requirements

• AEC, DEP, or equivalent in welding and assembly;
• Experience in TIG and MIG flux welding on stainless steel;
• Experience in high-pressure applications (asset);
• Knowledge of standard materials and welding fabrication techniques;
• French, spoken and written.

Compensation: $23.66 to $35.05 per hour
