Dispatcher

We are currently looking for a Dispatcher to join our team.

Main Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Operations Director, in collaboration with the drivers, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Ensuring compliance with existing regulations and procedures
• Planning and coordinating daily pickups and deliveries
• Assigning loads to drivers based on routes, equipment, and availability
• Optimizing routes to maximize efficiency and reduce transportation costs
• Communicating changes or unforeseen events to drivers and customers
• Managing unforeseen events with composure (delays, breakdowns, absences)
• Responding to customer inquiries regarding their shipments
• Maintaining regular communication with drivers to ensure the smooth running of transportation operations
• Keeping files and tracking up-to-date in the system
• Creating work orders in the system

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of experience
• Knowledge of the Unicom system is an asset

Employment Conditions

• Full-time position, Monday to Friday
