• Your role:

Technical Information Management

• Receive technical information requests and conduct necessary research to find and communicate the answer to the requester.
• Complete and track technical information requests with manufacturers.
• Follow up on pending information requests with manufacturers.
• Communicate answers to requesters.

Technical Problem Management

• Collect and analyze information related to a major and/or recurring problem, and write a detailed report for manufacturers.
• Follow up on cases with the technical service.
• Research and answer additional information requests from manufacturers.
• Visit job sites as needed with technicians to better evaluate problem cases.
• Prepare and write corrective action recommendations.
• Maintain a classification of different cases.
• Follow up and update the technical LOG.
• Provide diagnostic steps to technicians and mechanics.
• Assist the warranty department in providing complete files to manufacturers.
• Develop safe practices to accomplish certain steps safely.
• Provide detailed explanations on the operation of systems to enable understanding and repair of the system.
• Act as a resource person for mechanics and technicians.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Training (approximately 10% of time)

• Follow the course plan for technical training for various products (mainly Takeuchi and Bomag).
• Teach the material according to the manufacturer's certification programs, or according to documented product changes.
• Use training modules and provide training to our external customers.
• Plan and coordinate internal and external training sessions for your team.
• Incorporate health and safety best practices into the training provided.

What you bring

• DEP in heavy equipment mechanics with a minimum of 5 years of practical experience with heavy machinery (Komatsu, Bomag, Takeuchi, etc.).
• Recognized teaching technique diploma from the manufacturer (an asset).
• Ability to effectively communicate with a group, case file analysis skills, rigorous approach to problem solving.
• Effective communicator, capable of transmitting complex or technical information in a simple and understandable way, and validating if participants understand the main points of the training.
• Ability to assess the assimilation of the material by customers and recommend follow-up training if needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Windows.
• Excellent problem-solving, multitasking, and time management skills.
