Your role as a designer will involve participating in the realization of multidisciplinary engineering projects in the mining sector. You will work at our Quebec office, collaborating with local engineers and designers located in our other offices. You will play a key role in all stages of engineering projects, ensuring the production of exceptional technical deliverables.

• Work from point clouds (3D scanning)
• Perform equipment selection in the mining domain
• Layout mechanical, piping, and structural equipment and systems

Certifications and Requirements for the Position, in Brief

• College diploma in mechanical engineering
• 2 to 10 years of relevant experience
• Experience in 3D design
• Multidisciplinary knowledge (mechanical, piping, structural) or willingness to develop knowledge beyond your base discipline
• Availability for occasional travel to our other offices in Eastern Canada (Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Montreal, Saguenay, Sept-Iles, Labrador City)
• Availability for short-term assignments with our clients
• Minimum presence at the office of three days per week required
• Advanced English level to facilitate good collaboration with BBA offices and/or clients located in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally (English usage frequency may vary from occasional to daily depending on ongoing projects)
• Advanced French level to facilitate good collaboration with BBA offices and/or clients located in Quebec
• Asset: Experience in the mining sector
• Asset: Knowledge of SolidWorks, Revit, SmartPlant 3D, CADWorx, Ansys, and AutoCAD applications
• Asset: Knowledge of piping, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical welding, and structural engineering
