Description

Provide professional and informed advice and support to banking service partners and stakeholders, as well as their clients, to promote the achievement of sales and service objectives in treasury management, as well as the desired customer experience.

  • Apply innovative business expansion strategies and collaborate with other BMO partners to increase business volume.
  • Review and monitor assigned market performance and sales opportunities to achieve results.
  • Integrate sales teams to develop and present proposals or presentations regarding new business opportunities.
  • Develop an effective external network to support the identification of new business opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service that builds trust through expertise and tailored service and support.
  • Establish and maintain long-term profitable relationships and increase our share of the portfolio.
  • Act as an expert and provide assistance in structuring complex transactions.
  • Act promptly, effectively, and independently to address customer satisfaction.
  • This may include targeted calls and sales opportunity management activities.
  • Provide expertise on market conditions and trends to maintain a high level of environmental awareness.
  • Work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to develop negotiated or special pricing agreements for treasury management service clients.
  • Advise and guide the assigned business sector or business unit on the implementation of solutions.
  • Participate in establishing business priorities and the order of execution of the business sector or business unit's strategy.
  • Conduct independent analyses and evaluations to resolve strategic issues.
  • Support the implementation of strategic initiatives, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure consistency among stakeholders.
  • Break down strategic issues and analyze data and information to provide ideas and recommendations.
  • Monitor and track performance and address issues.
  • Support change management initiatives related to products, focusing generally on execution and maintenance activities.
  • Support the implementation of treasury management products and the establishment of financial transactions.
  • Provide coaching and expertise on products and processes to improve the knowledge and skills of other team members and partners.
  • Provide feedback on the planning and implementation of operational programs.
  • Ensure that guidelines and internal controls are in place to help management make decisions that protect the Bank's assets.
  • Comply with general policies, operational directives, laws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Make recommendations to improve BMO's processes and systems.
  • Perform tasks to provide timely, precise, and efficient services.
  • Plan, execute, and implement sales and service activities related to treasury management solutions in accordance with standards.
  • Share product and process knowledge with stakeholders (e.g., product information, pricing, implementation timelines, and requirements).
  • Identify risks and take appropriate measures to mitigate impacts and maintain operational integrity.
  • Stay informed about customer needs, industry trends, best practices, and regulatory context surrounding provided products and services.
  • Focus primarily on a business sector or business unit within BMO; adopt a broader organizational orientation as needed.
  • Exercise judgment to identify issues, determine their causes, and resolve them within established limits.
  • Work independently on a wide range of complex tasks, which may represent unique situations.
  • Broader tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
  • Take measured risks while protecting the Bank by applying our risk management framework in the execution of your functions, in accordance with our risk management culture and approved risk appetite, making informed risk-based decisions that align with business strategy, protect assets, and comply with applicable policy documents (frameworks, policies, standards, procedures, and related documents), laws, and regulation.

Qualifications

  • Generally four to six years of relevant professional experience with a post-secondary degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of treasury management products and services – in-depth knowledge.
  • Knowledge of corporate placement and credit products – in-depth knowledge.
  • Knowledge of personal and corporate banking products and services – in-depth knowledge.
  • Technical expertise gained through education or work experience.
  • Oral and written communication skills – in-depth skills.
  • Collaboration and teamwork skills – in-depth skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills – in-depth skills.
  • Influence skills – in-depth skills.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills – in-depth skills.

The above represents the salary range and compensation type of BMO Financial Group.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the position and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time positions will be calculated on a prorated basis of the number of regularly worked hours. For commission roles, the aforementioned salary represents BMO Financial Group's target for the first year in the position.

The total compensation offered by BMO will vary based on the type of compensation associated with the position and may include performance bonuses, discretionary bonuses, as well as other benefits and rewards.
