About the Residence

We are a small, boutique-style private nursing home (RPA) specializing in the care of non-autonomous and medically complex residents. Our approach combines clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and personalized, dignified care in a calm, well-organized environment.

We are seeking a Nurse Administrator who is hands-on, organized, and compliance-driven, and who understands the realities of working in a small residence where leadership, accountability, and presence matter.

Position Summary

The Nurse Administrator is responsible for the clinical oversight, coordination of care, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance of the residence. This role requires strong leadership, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to work closely with caregivers, families, physicians, and government bodies (CIUSSS, CLSC, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

Clinical \& Care Management

• Oversee resident care plans, assessments, and ongoing monitoring
• Ensure proper medication management and clinical documentation
• Act as clinical liaison with physicians, CLSC, CIUSSS, and other professionals
• Respond to changes in residents’ conditions and coordinate interventions

Staff Supervision \& Leadership

• Supervise nursing staff and personal care attendants (PABs)
• Provide guidance, coaching, and corrective action when required
• Ensure staff compliance with clinical protocols, infection control, and safety procedures
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance follow-ups

Compliance \& Documentation

• Ensure compliance with RPA certification standards, MSSS regulations, and internal policies
• Maintain accurate resident files, incident reports, and clinical records
• Participate in inspections, audits, and follow-ups with regulatory bodies
• Support fire safety, emergency preparedness, and risk management protocols

Administration \& Communication

• Communicate professionally with families regarding care and clinical matters
• Participate in care conferences and internal management meetings
• Support the owner-operator in daily operations and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse (RN) in good standing with the OIIQ
• Minimum 1–years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care, RPA, or similar setting
• Prior experience in supervisory or administrative role strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of Québec healthcare regulations and RPA standards
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Comfortable working in a small team, hands-on environment
• Willingness to multitask in all aspects of a small residence environment

Language Requirements

• Fluently bilingual (French \& English) – spoken and written
