Job Overview
Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Architecture and AI, the AI Applications Developer specializes in using Microsoft's AI ecosystem to design, develop, and integrate AI-powered solutions that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and business processes. This role covers the entire lifecycle of AI applications, from ideation and prototyping to production deployment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and various stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, test, and deploy functional AI and automation solutions (e.g., generative AI, semi-autonomous agents, and agentic AI) using platforms such as Microsoft Foundry, Copilot Studio, and other tools.
- Design prompt flows, orchestrations, and data grounding strategies.
- Develop and maintain integrations, APIs, and automation scripts to support AI and machine learning solutions.
- Connect AI applications to enterprise systems using connectors, APIs, MCP servers, and Microsoft Cloud components.
- Leverage Azure services (e.g., Azure AI, Azure Functions, and Azure OpenAI) to build secure and scalable architectures.
- Structure content and datasets to optimize information retrieval, grounding, and AI model accuracy.
- Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional AI solutions.
- Test, document, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize deployed agents to ensure performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with organizational stakeholders, support solution adoption, and participate in change management activities.
- Stay updated on new AI and machine learning technologies and Microsoft's AI tool ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python and experience in developing and integrating AI-powered applications.
- Strong understanding of AI concepts and capabilities, including generative AI.
- Experience with Microsoft Foundry and/or Copilot Studio, or a strong ability to quickly learn these platforms.
- Practical knowledge of Azure services such as Azure AI, Azure Functions, and Azure OpenAI.
- Experience in developing, deploying, and managing AI agents in production environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in ambiguous contexts.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business teams.
Assets
- Knowledge of prompt engineering and large language model (LLM) orchestration frameworks.
- Experience in enterprise architecture or cloud solution design.
- Experience with other Microsoft Cloud AI tools such as Azure AI Studio or Semantic Kernel.
Education and Certifications
- College or university degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate or Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert).

- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, hybrid or remote work available

- Language Requirements:
This position requires professional proficiency in English to support collaboration with employees, partners, and clients located outside Quebec.
