What You Will Do

We are looking for a early career electrical engineer who wants to take ownership of the electrical, mechanical, safety, and firmware quality of Vention's most complex and high-value-added products — particularly Rapid series applications and other turnkey electromechanical automation solutions.

The selected person will inspect and validate fully integrated automation cells and develop inspection and test protocols used to evaluate other electromechanical products — motors, controllers, drives, and modules.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves ensuring that wiring, safety circuits, and firmware are perfectly compliant, then documenting best practices so they can be applied consistently. This position requires a strong combination of mechanical and electrical skills, the ability to validate complex multidisciplinary nomenclatures, electrical schematics, and assembly drawings, and the judgment to validate fully integrated automation systems before shipping them to customers worldwide.

• Validate complete electromechanical systems before shipping: Perform final quality control (OQC) on Rapid series integrated cells — checking wiring routing, electrical distribution, pneumatic systems, structural integrity, and overall assembly quality in accordance with electrical schematics and assembly drawings.
• Verify safety circuits according to specifications: Validate emergency stop continuity, safety relays, and safety scanner configuration, including secured zone limitation and stop distance behavior, to ensure proper system operation in configurations with or without safety fencing.
• Confirm firmware and software readiness: Power up controllers and robotic arms, confirm their communication within the system, verify that the correct firmware is installed, and that interfaces are functioning properly, then validate that the palletizing MachineApp is loaded and operational.
• Verify multidisciplinary nomenclatures and configurations: Confirm that controllers, drives, safety equipment, grippers, conveyors, and accessories are the correct revision, properly installed, and configured.
• Create inspection and test protocols: Develop, document, and maintain inspection and functional test procedures for other electromechanical products — motors, controllers, modules, and sub-assemblies — to ensure uniform and traceable quality across the product range.
• Perform mechanical and structural inspections: Validate the adjustment, shape, and function of mechanical components using tools such as feeler gauges, torque wrenches, and squares.
• Manage non-conformities: Identify and document non-conforming products, issue non-conformance reports (NCR), and create engineering change notices (ECN) when a design change is required, while communicating conclusions to suppliers for quick resolution.
• Maintain records and traceability: Keep accurate records of inspections, test results, and component traceability within the ERP / quality management system.
• Ensure test equipment maintenance: Ensure that inspection and electrical test tools are assigned, calibrated, and maintained properly.
• Promote continuous improvement: Recommend improvements to processes and contribute to root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal teams: Work with engineering, integration, production, procurement, and reliability teams to resolve technical and supplier-related issues.

What You Bring to the Team

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or DEC in automated manufacturing / electromechanical technology with relevant experience).
• 1 to 3 years of experience in quality, testing, inspection, or validation of electromechanical assemblies or integrated automation systems.
• Excellent ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, multidisciplinary nomenclatures, assembly drawings, and system-level specifications.
• Practical electrical validation skills: multimeters, continuity testers, power supplies; comfortable verifying power distribution and signal integrity.
• Firmware experience — installing, validating, or troubleshooting firmware on controllers, drives, or embedded modules, and validating interface functionality according to specifications.
• Experience with dimensional and structural inspection tools (feeler gauges, torque wrenches, squares).
• Familiarity with collaborative robot / industrial robot integration and motion control platforms (UR, FANUC, or equivalent) — a plus.
• Knowledge of safety circuit validation (emergency stops, safety relays, zone scanners) — a plus.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management practices — a plus.
• Excellent technical writing skills; ability to turn a validation process into a clear and reproducible protocol.
• Very good organizational skills, ability to manage multi-step inspections on large, complex systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (French a plus).
