What you will accomplish with us

As a Pricing Consultant, Advanced Cases, you will be at the heart of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:

• Assess risks in life insurance, critical illness, and disability, and provide high-level expertise for advanced financial selection.
• Produce high-quality evaluations with a service turnaround of less than 24 hours.
• Negotiate with reinsurers and the sales force.
• Offer advisory, support, and mentoring services as a financial analysis resource within the pricing teams.
• Share your knowledge with various departments, including agent and MGA quality monitoring and control.
• Collaborate closely with the financial and tax solutions team to provide a comprehensive service, including preliminary analysis of large case pricing files to generate new business, and be available for any questions related to Mid Market pricing.
• Lead presentations and training sessions on Mid Market pricing to MGAs and advisors regarding IA's pricing philosophy, new guidelines, or clarifications of existing rules.
• What could accelerate your success in this role
• We are looking for someone who:
• Has a university degree (BAC) and/or 10 years of relevant experience in pricing, with at least 5 years as a pricer in the mid-market.
• Has an ALU designation (an asset).
• Has an FLMI designation (an asset).
• Has advanced knowledge of the English language since the person will be required to communicate daily with English-speaking clients and partners across Canada via emails and calls.
• Has excellent financial analysis skills.
• Has the ability to exchange and explain complex concepts using your expertise.
• Has excellent negotiation skills.
• Has a client and advisor orientation with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Has excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Has the ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks.
