The Mistassini sawmill, located on Lake Saint-Jean, enjoys a prime geographical location to access its raw material, giving it an advantage in terms of transportation costs. We employ some 140 people who work in our sawing and drying facilities. Recent investments have focused on replacing one of the two sawing lines and improving drying capacity, to ensure the sustainability of our operation and the job security of our staff.

Our establishment is looking for qualified individuals to fill a Mechanic position. This is a permanent full-time position.

What will be your responsibilities

• Perform repairs and respond to breakdowns during production shifts;
• Make recommendations for improvement or maintenance with a view to optimizing machinery;
• Perform preventive maintenance of equipment;
• Apply the required procedures in health and safety, environment, and according to ISO.

Your profile

• You hold a professional studies diploma (DEP) in industrial mechanics, electromechanics, welding-assembly, or machinery mechanics;
• You are recognized as a safe person who makes no compromises for safety;
• You are resourceful and respectful of regulations and procedures;
• You are available for a rotating schedule (day-night, 8-hour shifts) or a 4-5-5 schedule (12-hour shifts).
