Cockpit Designer

The Cockpit Designer is responsible for the design, integration, and improvement of the seating and equipment in the pilot's compartment of an aircraft. He or she participates in the development of technical solutions in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, while ensuring compliance with performance, certification, quality, and manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design the mechanical components and installations of the cockpit (panels, consoles, supports, coverings, and equipment).
• Create 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and technical documentation.
• Ensure the integration of systems and coordinate with structural, avionics, systems, and manufacturing teams.
• Participate in design reviews, technical analyses, and problem-solving for integration issues.
• Support validation, certification, and production activities.
• Evaluate design changes and provide technical support to production teams and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and quality, cost, and schedule objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in mechanical design, preferably in the aerospace industry.
• Proficiency in a CAD software (CATIA V5/V6, Siemens NX, or equivalent).
• Good knowledge of mechanical integration, manufacturing processes, and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Analytical mindset, autonomy, rigor, and excellent teamwork skills.
