About the Position

  • Under the supervision of the foundry superintendent, the supervisor is responsible for:
  • Managing a team of production employees, in accordance with existing policies and procedures;
  • Acting as a facilitator and "coach" to employees to ensure all work is done in compliance with operational standards and procedures while respecting safety and quality rules;
  • Performing various management activities and ensuring the application of collective agreement provisions;
  • Actively participating in achieving sector objectives by strategically managing human and material resources;
  • Fostering employee participation in resolving various issues;
  • Ensuring that personnel under their supervision are properly trained and utilize their full potential.
  • Desired Profile:

The candidate must have a DEC in mining, metallurgical, or chemical techniques, or another related field, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in managing unionized personnel in an industrial setting, preferably in the mining or metallurgical sector. Any other combination of education in a similar field will be considered, provided it is paired with experience in personnel management.

Work Schedule: Rotating shift (5-5 /4-5 variable)
