Contribute to the health of people in your region. Become a Specialized Peace Officer and Security Officer at the Youth Center in Valleyfield, a facility of the Integrated Health and Social Services Center.

Full-time day-night-weekend opportunity with 1 weekend off every 2 weeks.

Make our community better

  • Provide support, supervision, guidance, and animation to the young people referred to you.
  • Welcome young people from all intervention services and take responsibility for them in moments of crisis, disorganization, or special need for help.
  • Assume, in terms of support to interveners, presences in the various services when the situation requires it.
  • Respond to certain needs of the young people in accordance with the objectives of rehabilitation pursued.
  • Physically intervene when the situation requires it and conduct searches on users when requested.
  • Observe the young person's behavior and report your observations through reports.

Requirements

  • Essential traces (requirements in Health and Social Services):
  • High school diploma (DES) or Secondary School Equivalence Certificate (AENS);
  • Valid RCR card (CNESST first aid in the workplace for 16 hours)
  • Be available for at least 2 shifts of work (day/night) and one weekend every two weeks (currently needed for night shift)
  • The hiring process includes a physical fitness test.
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Must hold a valid Class 5 driver's license

Optional: Having experience as an intervention agent for a private security company or being a student in police techniques will be considered an asset.
