Student Job - Youth Rehabilitation Educator - Chambly
Contribute to the mission of protecting youth in your region.
Become a youth rehabilitation educator for the protection of youth in Chambly. This is a Health Québec Montérégie-East facility.
As an educator in the protection of youth, you will be called upon to support a clientele aged 0 to 17, both boys and girls, who are at risk and have faced various traumas, including neglect, sexual exploitation, or violence, and have diverse issues such as behavioral disorders and mental health problems. These young individuals come from diverse communities (cultural, ethnic, LGBTQ2SIA+, etc.). Therefore, a career as a youth rehabilitation educator promises a touching, challenging, and highly rewarding experience.
Opportunity for part-time employment with the possibility of working full-time in a day-night shift and 1 weekend every 2 weeks.

- Here's what you can expect in addition, if you are a Full-Time Educator:
- Welcome and integrate users into the life unit
- Assess user needs and explore actions and means necessary for their rehabilitation
- Support and guide the user, their family, and partners in various activity spheres
- Conduct periodic evaluations of the intervention plan and involve the user
- Work with network intervenors and those within our organization
- Design and update individualized intervention plans
- Essential qualifications (Health and Social Services requirements)
- Diploma of College Studies (DEC) with specialization in special education techniques or intervention in delinquency/criminology or childhood education or the College Studies Attestation in Special Education (AEC)
- Completed second year of college studies with specialization in special education techniques or intervention in delinquency/criminology
- Valid driver's license (Class 5)
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years
