Team Lead / Excavator Operator in Landscape Design

As a team lead, the person plans and coordinates work on the job site, mobilizes their team, and ensures compliance with schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations. We are looking for an autonomous, committed individual who enjoys taking on challenges and wishes to invest long-term with us. They will also be responsible for performing light excavation work with an excavator, related to landscape design projects. They will perform digging, leveling, site preparation, and material handling. We reward the quality of work, results, and commitment of our employees.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES *Team Lead Role*

• Lead, mobilize, and supervise a work team;
• Read and interpret landscape design plans;
• Plan daily work;
• Install pavers, walls, steps, borders, etc., and participate in planting work;
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and maintain a clean and safe work site;
• Prepare trucks, machinery, and tools for upcoming work;
• Collaborate with the project manager to ensure work quality and schedule compliance.
• *Excavator Operator Role*
• Perform excavation, grading, and leveling work;
• Inspect the machine daily and report any issues.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge of materials, machinery, and tools needed for landscape design work;
• Positive leadership and team spirit;
• Sense of organization and priority management;
• Excellent excavator skills;
• Autonomy and punctuality.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Class 5 driver's license (Class 3, an asset);
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscape design;
• Significant experience as a team lead;
• ASP Construction card;
• DEC in landscape design or any related program, an asset.
