The Community Centre l'Entraide Plus is a non-profit organization with a dynamic, smiling, and friendly team!

We offer a respite service at home and a respite stop for caregivers of people with reduced autonomy, mainly due to aging, presenting multiple physical health conditions and/or cognitive deficits.

Main functions:

• Assistance with meals
• Assistance with transfers, bathing, and mobility
• Partial bathing
• Stimulating activities for people with reduced autonomy (e.g., walks, games, crafts, etc.)

Requirements

• Good knowledge of French
• Valid driver's license and own a car
• PDSB, RCR mandatory
• Diploma as ASSS or PAB is an asset
• We will perform a check of your criminal record, in connection with employment.
• Qualities required:
• Knowledge and interest in working with elderly people with reduced autonomy,
• Empathy, great capacity to stimulate and occupy a person with reduced autonomy, good sense of observation, devotion, sense of responsibility, patience, discretion, good emotional balance,
• Ability to gain the trust of the assisted person and their caregivers.
• Working conditions:
• Interest in working with a client base with reduced autonomy (neurocognitive disorder, Parkinson's, visual impairment, etc.)
• Empathy, good sense of observation, patience, discretion, excellent judgment
