Your responsibilities as a Meat Manager
- Plan and coordinate department activities to achieve sales and profitability goals set by the director, while respecting the applicable collective agreement.
- Participate in the development of action plans.
- Place orders and make purchases for the department.
- Verify invoice compliance with delivery notes and ensure receipt of returns from companies and allocations with salespeople.
- Regularly analyze the tracking of receipt procedures and merchandise in terms of internal security.
- Ensure that product labeling complies with store standards, the chief's price list, the optical scanner cash register prices, and that price cards comply with the circular.
- Ensure product rotation according to consumption date codes. Ensure the business-to-business aspect of the department (quality, quantity, freshness, cleanliness).
- Plan, one week in advance, on a planogram, the market launch of products.
- Conduct periodic inventory counts and justify discrepancies.
- Monitor meat processing and ensure that they are cut and trimmed according to company standards.
- Schedule employee work hours.
- Ensure compliance with company policies (receiving, security, etc.) and hygiene, cleanliness, health, and safety standards.
- Oversee hiring, welcoming, training, and evaluating employees.
- Attend certain committees.
Requirements
- Sec V or DEP or equivalent
- 5 years of experience as a butcher, including 2 years as an assistant manager
