Health Quebec Bas-Saint-Laurent offers various scholarship programs aimed at supporting the training of new talent and promoting the integration of new talent into our teams.
As part of the training program leading to the obtaining of a doctorate in clinical psychology, a scholarship of $25,000 is offered to eligible individuals.
How to apply?
Submit your application including the mandatory documents for the processing of your application.
Individuals who have submitted a complete file will be contacted to schedule a selection process.
Selected candidates will be accompanied throughout their process and may benefit from the scholarship according to the program's terms.
You have until September 13 to submit your application. After this date, we cannot guarantee the processing of your application in time for the scholarship program.
Eligibility
The candidate wishing to obtain a scholarship must meet the following criteria:
- hold Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status;
- be enrolled in a doctorate program in clinical psychology at a recognized educational institution in Quebec;
- have passed or be on track to pass the prerequisites to access the internship or be in the process of completing an internship;
- plan to obtain a doctorate in clinical psychology by August 31, 2027;
- not have to re-enroll in an additional university term after August 31, 2027;
- be eligible to obtain a practice permit from the Order of Psychologists of Quebec (OPQ).
Required and mandatory documents to submit your application
- Recent curriculum vitae;
- Letter of enrollment in the program issued by the university;
- Copy of the most recent official transcript;
- Letter explaining the motivation to apply.
- Scholarship requirements
The Person Who Receives the Scholarship Commits to
- working as a psychologist in one of the health and social services establishments targeted for a minimum period of two years;
- offering and respecting availability in accordance with local collective agreements and adapted to the needs of the establishment with which they have signed an agreement, and this, from the end of their studies;
- obtaining the doctorate in clinical psychology and the practice permit issued by the OPQ.
