The Structural Engineer can be based at the Montreal, Sherbrooke, Saguenay, or Quebec office.

We are currently looking for a Structural Engineer for Bridges and Dams to join the Energy team. Your skills will be put to use to participate in the realization of structural projects in the hydroelectric dam sector.

Daily Responsibilities

• Contribute to the preparation and compliance with the execution schedules of the work to be carried out;
• Participate in meetings involving stakeholders from different disciplines, both internally and externally to the client;
• Actively participate in the administrative process of project management and profitability;
• Communicate to stakeholders the details related to schedules, budgets, and project progress reports;
• Demonstrate satisfaction of requests while respecting project budgets;
• Preparation, design, and revision of structural drawings (in concrete or steel) and general arrangements of structural works within the framework of building projects, hydroelectric power plants, bridges, etc.;
• Develop estimates and methods of realization of works and carry out studies;
• Supervise the preparation of plans, estimates, and specifications;
• Provide technical assistance during construction: technical questions, approval of workshop drawings and technical sheets, engineering directives, etc.;
• Participate in the preparation of service offers;
• Work on multidisciplinary projects;
• Carry out site surveys;
• Work in multi-region teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction engineering with a structural profile;
• 8 years and more of relevant experience;
• Member of the OIQ;
• ASP card;
• Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously;
• Creative in the search for innovative solutions and a good capacity to share knowledge;
• Experience in consulting engineering and dam or bridge structures is an asset;
• Proficiency in MS Project (or equivalent), EXCEL, and WORD;
• Proficiency in modeling software (i.e., SAFI, ADA, SAP2000) (an asset);
• Resourcefulness, autonomy, team spirit, sense of humor, and good work organization.
