Server/Server, Full-Time

Your role:

You will be responsible for taking food and beverage orders and serving customers effectively in the dining room.

As a server/server, you will need to:

Greet and warmly welcome customers to the dining room; take food and beverage orders efficiently, following established service procedures

Serve dishes quickly and professionally; adhere to food safety and hygiene standards. Regularly monitor to address any additional needs or requests

Demonstrate a perfect understanding of the menu items and ingredients. Advise customers on appropriate food and beverage pairings when requested; respond to reasonable requests and note their preferences. Demonstrate knowledge of specific dietary regimes

Communicate directly with kitchen staff to ensure orders are served correctly and special requests are accommodated

Quickly address complaints or issues, and relay relevant information or complaints directly to the supervisor

Ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service; keep the area clean and tidy while adhering to established hygiene standards

Collaborate with staff from other services to complete required tasks during special events and receptions

About you

• You have prior experience in the food service industry
• A Food Handler Certificate or equivalent provincial certification is an asset
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others

Must be physically capable of lifting and moving heavy and hot objects, and of standing/walking for the majority of the service

The hourly wage for this position is $19.00. The final remuneration will be determined based on skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
