Description

Manage Your Neighborhood is a well-recognized community property manager offering high-quality services in property, financial, and maintenance management, serving nearly 3,000 non-profit or public cooperative housing units. Manage Your Neighborhood also acquires buildings in various Montreal neighborhoods to provide a lasting and structured response to the housing needs of low- and middle-income households.

Internal job title: Financial Manager

Reporting to the head of the finance team, the financial manager oversees activities related to accounting, budget control, analysis, and providing advice to clients of Manage Your Neighborhood.

Tasks and Responsibilities

More specifically, tasks related to the financial management of the portfolio include:

  • Accounting for vendor invoices in the accounting system according to the chart of accounts;
  • Issuing checks for signatures within the prescribed deadlines;
  • Ensuring the accuracy of the age of accounts payable;
  • Processing and managing client accounts;
  • Ensuring the collection of all payments;
  • Preparing remittance slips and making bank deposits;
  • Producing TPS-TVQ reports;
  • Assistance with preparing various analyses in Excel;
  • Filing, photocopying, digitizing, and printing documents;
  • Performing monthly bank reconciliation;
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual verification files;
  • Various administrative follow-ups;
  • Performing any other related tasks.

Your Qualifications

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in accounting;
  • Knowledge of Simple Comptable, Acomba, HOPEM, and Excel software;
  • French spoken and written;
  • Autonomy/initiative;
  • Attention to detail and rigor in follow-ups;
  • Sense of organization and good management of priorities;
  • Ability to manage multiple files at once;
  • Knowledge of the community housing and social economy sector (asset).
